Element 74 is the technical partner behind Vela

Element 74 was proud to partner with the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence to develop Vela. Before writing a single line of code, our E74 team began by listening to advocates’ experiences. We learned about the realities of advocates’ daily activities, the unique data reporting needs, the complexities of grant requirements, and the challenge of providing crucial social services while also reporting like a data analyst.

We love building solutions that support your mission

With that shared understanding and an open dialogue, we began creating a solution that would streamline the most tedious and stressful aspects of data reporting and ultimately allow advocates more time to do the work you do best. We truly believe in Vela’s ability to empower your organization, and we can’t wait to show you what it can do.

The development of Vela was a team effort between Element 74 and the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.

GRANTS MANAGEMENT
SPECIALIST, MCADSV
MOCADSV has long heard the frustration of member agencies as they attempted to modify existing database systems. We knew advocates needed a less complicated data collection method based on advocacy organizations’ needs that conveys to funders the vital work that MCADSV’s member agencies do. Vela encompasses features that DV/SV agencies throughout Missouri have requested, but no other database has delivered.

GRANT COORDINATOR,
HOUSE OF REFUGE
Having a database that’s specifically for DV/SV shelters is so helpful, and Element74 has provided great collaboration, so we know that they will continue to partner with us, even when reporting requirements change, or our needs change. It’s been so great to be able to offer our thoughts and share what would work best in our context.
